Trossard responds directly to Chelsea speculation

Brighton attacker Leandro Trossard has confirmed that there has not been an official contact with Chelsea over rumors that Chelsea want to join the team.

         The 27-year-old has been outstanding for the team this season following seven goals ufabet and two assists and has been named in the Belgian squad for the 2022 World Cup. Chelsea, now headed by former boss Graeme Potter.

         When asked about the interest from “Sing the Blues”, Trossard said the Belgian media HLN said. “There are no reports about Chelsea, not Brighton, not me.”

         “We’ll just have to wait and see. I would like to close my job with Brighton and go to Qatar with a great feeling.”

         Trossard also said of Graeme Potter’s departure from Chelsea, saying: “It’s very strange. Because I’ve been playing under Potter’s in Brighton and getting better every year.

         “You are fully prepared and all of a sudden you are a new coach in September. Then you don’t know what to expect. But the reaction about De Zerbie has been positive. He really wants us to play football and the way he wants to play suits me perfectly.”

This past summer, Chelsea became the all-time highest Premier League spenders in a single transfer window.

The Blues spent £278.4 million on seven players, including Wesley Fofana from Leicester City for £75 million and Marc Cucurella from Brighton for £60 million.

Potter was asked whether he was considering additions in the upcoming January transfer window.
